CoinTerra, a bitcoin mining company, has signed an 18-month contract to have its infrastructure hosted by CenturyLink.
More computing power than ever is needed to unearth new bitcoin and as a result, companies that mine for the digital currency are turning to data centers to help them deploy that power.
Take, for instance, CenturyLink Technology Solutions’ new deal with CoinTerra, an Austin-based startup that makes powerful computers used to verify bitcoin transactions. CoinTerra just signed an 18-month agreement to have its mining-infrastructure hosted in four of CenturyLink’s data centers around the world.
